About
The foundation of my work as an educational therapist is to offer compassionate and comprehensive support to the parents and student who is struggling in school, not meeting their potential, or has been identified with a learning difference or processing disorder. With over 25 years of experience as both a classroom teacher and as an educational therapist in private practice, I can provide a plethora of skills to utilize in individualized sessions with students from kindergarten through college. I have been trained and employ several specific methods, such as the Wilson Reading System, The Learning Strategies Curriculum, and Making Math Real, that act as the infrastructure to my work. Furthermore, it is the years as a classroom teacher which give me insight on the workings of the school setting and how I can best support the student and teachers. I provide a rare combination of skills founded in specific training and years of practical experience.
